Liberal Democrat party policy-making in coalition – a Social Liberal Forum review

Being the junior partner in a coalition government presents many challenges to a membership-driven party like the Liberal Democrats. Following discussions with  leading Lib Dems, Dr. David Hall-Matthews (SLF Chair) and Dr. Prateek Buch (Head of Policy and Research) have published this review of how policy-making in the party works, and how it can be improved.

Our aim in publishing this pamphlet is to highlight the strengths and weakenesses of the policy-making process in the Lib Dems, and to present some possible improvements.
