Will we need our passports? CRB checks? Credt references?

My wife tends to smile a lot, will she be allowed in?

  2. The only reason for heightened security at Conference is that the police and others perceived a heightened threat. Why would the public authorities impose security measures that they did not consider to be merited? Now that we are a party of government, we face heightened security, at a time at which the UK faces terrorist threats from a variety of sources. Some people might wish that such threats did not really exist, but they undoubtedly do exist. I’m afraid that I don’t find Mr Watts’ joke funny.

If Mr Harris doesn’t find it funny, why does he describe it as a joke?

    Hi all
I did make the conference and enjoyed every minute of it .The venue presented some challenges but the qaulity of debate made up for it .
Can i suggest however that some very interesting future policy proposals were made but in terms of member engagement not enough qeustions were taken from the floor .This could be substantially improved by focused workshops and be a lot more inclusive for those that attended .A one day event at an affordable price made a refreshing change for a Liberal Democrat event well done to the organisers.
Perhaps next time we do it outside of London to keep the travel costs
    down as well ?
I would like copies of discussion and presentation material emailed
to me if you can please .on line we can develop strong motions to conference.
