Neil,

I've answered your question regarding Beveridge elsewhere.

As for membership, it is free and open to all members of the Lib Dems. I will be posting details on the site shortly and hope to have something up that is more automated soon.

We've already got a working relationship with Compass and held joint fringe meetings at both Labour and Lib Dem autumn conferences. We have also been involved with the new After The Fall book. In terms of Unlock Democracy, the only current link is that I happen to be a member of staff for that organisation and so, clearly, we have quite close lines of communication.

As for other Lib Dem organisations, I am sure that will develop over time. I'd love to explore the possibility of holding joint events and activities but we are not currently in talks with any of them.

With the constitution now approved, we will be holding elections for a new council shortly after the general election.

As with Andrew Hickey, I won't be at the Spring Conference; but I would love to know what's planned for the Forum, how you're going to set up membership and activities and find out generally how to get involved. I'd also be fascinated to find out what (if any !) relationship you're going to have with the Beveridge Group, if that Group is likely to continue with the formation of the SLF (obviously there are likely to be many 'joint' members - in Parliament if nowhere else !) and how the Forum will link with other Lib Dem organisations (or 'non-aligned' groups such as Compass and Unlock Democracy).

Great! We're not planning on having the actual elections at the meeting, so there will be plenty of chances to get involved.
